Chapter 4

Krystal was the first to rise that morning. After her shower, she sat on the bed and watched Fox as he slept. It was obvious that he had had a very good time at Intergalactic Studios yesterday. He didn't make a sound, except for an occasional sniffle. Krystal thought that this was one of his cutest features.

"I have the best husband in Lylat," she said to herself.

About thirty minutes or so later, Fox woke up. He rubbed his eyes and looked at Krystal.

"Morning my perfect one," Fox said as he got up to shower.

He kissed Krystal on the side of the muzzle and left to the bathroom. After his shower, he returned to her side.

"What happens today?" she asked.

"Well, since we had a wild day yesterday, how about a nice day at the Korvara Aquarium?" Fox answered.

Krystal remembered seeing the aquarium on the way to Intergalactic Studios. It had looked very appealing.

"I'm up for it," she said.

"Good. I'll go and get the others, but first, I would like to be with you," he stated.

Fox then proceeded to pull Krystal close to him. He inhaled the sweet scent of the perfume that the lovely vixen rubbed into her fur after showering. It smelled of flowers. Her fur was like blue silk, and her personality was sweet like honey. In his mind, she was as a vixen should be: lovely, but strong if she needed to be. It gave him great joy to be her husband. After a good while together, they called the others and went to breakfast.

"Where we headed to today?" Falco asked.

"The Korvara Aquarium," Fox replied.

"I saw that building. It looks fun," Peppy remarked.

"I'm sure it will be," Krystal told him.

After breakfast, they relaxed for a good while, then boarded the taxi and headed out to the aquarium. When they arrived, they beheld the massive white building. It had a blue roof.

"That's a nice shade of blue," Krystal said.

"Yes, but yours is better," Fox said in response.

"Oh brother," Falco said with a sigh.

Katt elbowed her boyfriend hard in the side. After Falco got the message, they entered the building. The lobby was well-decorated, with models of various sea creatures hanging from the ceiling. They paid admission and went through a pair of sliding doors into the first area, the section devoted to life in the shallow sea and in marshes. Everyone went to the first exhibit, a display of several, small crocodile-like reptiles native to a swampy world near Corneria.

"They're cute," Krystal remarked.

"Yes, but not when they get big. That's when they're considered dangerous," Fox explained.

"How big do they get?" Katt asked.

"Around eighteen feet when full-grown," Fox replied.

After that, they came to the next exhibit, a display of various shallow-water fish. There were silvery fish, baby sharks, and so on. The adventure continued past displays of schooling fish and various invertabrates. There was a tank of large, dangerous-looking sharks. After that, they came to another tank. This exhibit turned out to be Krystal's favorite, for it contained two creatures from her homeworld: beautiful dolphin-like mammals that resembled Bottlenose dolphins, but were black and white like Killer whales.

"Fox, these are from Cerenia. Back home, we often used them in art," Krystal explained.

"What are they called?" Fox asked.

"The Cerenian white-bellied dolphin," Krystal said proudly.

"I wonder how this aquarium got a pair," Fox mused.

"There's a few aquariums across Lylat that display and breed this species. We're connected as part of a breeding program," a voice said.

Fox and Krystal turned to see an iguana in an aquarium uniform standing there.

"Interesting. I'm actually from Cerenia. I was the only survivor of the disaster that destroyed it. Nice to see that at least one representative of the wildlife made it," Krystal told him.

"Yes, they're a very beautiful and fascinating species," the iguana said before leaving.

Krystal turned to Fox.

"When I was growing up in the royal palace, my father maintained a private aquarium, and one of the creatures he had was a white-bellied dolphin. As a little girl, I loved watching it swim around its tank," Krystal said.

"Well, now you can recapture that feeling," Fox said to his wife with a smile.

After Krystal was done, they moved on to the other exhibits. All of them were wonderful. They bought snacks at the aquarium cafe and sat down. They talked about how they had loved everything so far.

"I think my favorite part was the glowing jellyfish," Slippy said.

"I liked the shark tank," Falco commented.

"The best part was the cute little crabs," Katt stated.

"I liked the schooling fish," Peppy remarked.

"Well, those are all nice, but my favorite part was the same as Krystal's," Fox said.

Krystal turned to Fox.

"Really?" she asked.

"Yes," he replied.

After their snack, they looked at the other exhibits. When it was over, they got back in the taxi and left. When they got back to the hotel, they all had dinner and took a dip in the pool. After that, they settled into bed for the night. As he drifted off to sleep, Fox decided that he would take his beloved out the next evening, just the two of them.
